To request an official transcript, you need to send your request via fax or mail. If mailing, address it to:
-
The Art Institute of Colorado
-
1200 Lincoln St, Denver, CO 80203
-
Attn: Kathy in Records
For fax requests, use the direct fax number: (303) 824-2185. Remember, electronic signatures are not accepted for official transcripts. Each official transcript costs $5.00, and if you’re mailing your request, include a check or money order made out to AIC.
Your request form should include:

Your name while attending the Art Institute.
-
Your Student ID Number or Social Security Number.

The program(s) you were enrolled in.
-
Your approximate dates of attendance.
-
Your graduation date, if applicable.
-
Your contact phone number.
-
A detailed address where the transcript should be sent.
Make sure to sign the form before submitting it, as this is required for processing.
Are unofficial transcripts available, and how can I obtain one?
Yes, unofficial transcripts are available for free. To obtain one, you can email your request to ketchells@aii.edu. Include your details as mentioned in the official transcript request to ensure smooth processing.
How long does it take to process a transcript request?
Transcript requests are processed weekly in the order they are received. Generally, you should allow at least one week for processing. If your attendance was before 1992, it may take longer, as those records are not readily available in the system and require additional retrieval time.
What happens if I have an outstanding balance with the Art Institute?
If you have an outstanding balance, your official transcript request will not be processed. This policy applies specifically to official transcripts. To avoid delays, ensure that your account is in good standing before submitting your request.
